Save Castle

I was so disheartened to hear that Castle was on the chopping block. I haven't enjoyed a show so much in years. The natural chemistry between all the characters on this show is so rare, it's such a special treat. The humor makes the show so watchable and then top it all off with a murder mystery and you have a truly wonderful hour of television.

This show is different from all the other "detective" type shows out there and my oldest and I look forward to it every week. Now to hear it may be canceled, when so many other less quality shows remain on year after year, makes me angry. So I'm not sitting back this time. For what it's worth, there's one more episode Monday night at 10pm after Dancing with the Stars. If you haven't seen it yet, give it a look. If you enjoy it, let ABC know that. You can leave a comment here

Last week ratings were up, so there is hope. You can follow Save Castle on Twitter for all the latest news. Also last week both stars were on The Late late Show with Craig Ferguson, their interviews follow. I hope this show gets a shot. Last time they canceled my favorite show, it was Moonlight, lets save this one!

When our expectations let us down

I, like many of you, was so incredibly excited when this season of The bachelor began. I mean, it was Jason for crying out loud! He was supposed to be the good guy. He was just like us, not some Hollywood model type. He was going to be Prince Charming and we were all going to see that a real person, could make this whole thing work. Then he let us all down by proving he was just as flawed and screwed up as the rest of us.

I'm disappointed, I think, not because he and Melissa didn't make it, I mean at this point, as much as I like to dream there will be a happily ever after, I'm not honestly expecting one. However, I think they made a HUGE mis-judgement letting us know he'd dumped Melissa and went back with Molly. Especially four minutes after we all saw the wonderfully blissful moments they shared as a newly engaged family.

It would have gone over better in the gossip columns a month from now when we'd all gone back to our normal lives, rather than live in the After the Final Rose special.

Give us our happily ever after, then dash our hopes and dreams after we've moved on and don't care as much, not while we're still crying and saying awwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

I don't believe the outcome was scripted, that there was some huge conspiracy from the beginning to get ratings, but I do think they capitalized on what was going on with Jason/Melissa/Molly by letting Jason dump Melissa and go back to Molly on the air. And it worked brilliantly, they got 17 million viewers!

But at what cost?

Melissa was devastated, Jason (for all he foolishly brought it on himself) has to live with being hated by millions, that's gotta suck, and I'm guessing it's going to hurt their ratings long term. Though I could be wrong, but I'm really turned off what has been my favorite guilty pleasure for years. I'm not even sure I'm going to watch The Bachelorette come spring. I'd imagine I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Of course by then I'm sure I'll have moved on and I did like Jillian quite a bit from day one, so who knows.

I think I'll just write my own Bachelor type romance and give myself the happy ending no one else seems to be able to manage. lol

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Dev was crazed with passion, had never
felt so out of control in all his life. He’d come around that bend and knew
instantly that it was Kira, but it took him a few minutes to figure out what
she was doing.

At one point, she’d shifted her position
and the moonlight had made her veil-thin gown completely transparent. He’d
nearly cum right there. Gazing at the definition of her legs, he pictured her
standing completely naked for his perusal. Her breasts rising and falling with
her need for him, her nipples hard, her pussy dripping wet.

He wondered if she shaved it. Would he

Kira fell back on the ground as he left

pathetic failure. How could she have ever thought she would be enough for him?

Big Fish Games is my source for most of my computer games. They are a fabulous site, with the best customer service I've ever gotten anywhere and they have a club, $6.99 a month gets you one game, and then any others you want to buy, also $6.99 a piece. These are the type of games you get at Wal-Mart for 20 bucks, so I think it's a pretty good deal.

Of course there was a time I felt guilty spending 6.99 a month on myself, until my very good friend, Kevin, mentioned to me it was a whole hell of a lot less money than medication! LMAO he's right!!

Then of course there's the Sims2 site, where you can download all sorts of things for your sims from the exchange for free, or from the shop for a nominal charge. Also there is a community board and all the latest news about what is going on in the Sim world

Here's one of my favorite places to buy plants from. Spring Hill Nursery They send out garden catalogs throughout the year, which as I said, that's all you've got during those long winter months, so I save them up for that one day in the thick of winter, snow on the ground, hot cocoa and a loooong garden planning day for spring! :D

Disney Weddings This site really is fun, even if you aren't planning a real wedding. They have a planner that lets you pick out different options then tells you how much you've spent. :) That's the fun part. LOL

Disney World Then of course, the great American Disney World Vacation planner. Get price info, plan an itinerary, and see what's new in the kingdom. ;)

I read an article once about in eutero experiences. I found it fascinating, his suggestions of how a baby can inherit emotions from it's mother. I loved the idea and this story came to life from that. Ainsley's mother experienced something so traumatic, that it changed who she was forever and gave her daughter a legacy no one would want.

I love reading romantic suspense, the danger heightens the attraction and the adrenaline fuels the sparks, it's a fantastic ride. Ainsley has a wonderful family and a good life, but everything she thought she knew is about to blow sky high. She was humiliated. She wasn't a child. She could open her car door without supervision. With obvious reluctance, Travis moved away, heading back to the club, but she could sense his gaze still on her. It was late, and though she couldn't see anyone around her, she still could never quite calm the nagging sensation of someone watching her, or of danger lurking right around the corner.

Swallowing her own disgust, she faced her car door again, fumbling a moment with her keys and so absorbed in mortification over what she'd done that she wasn't aware of anything else around her until a large body plowed hard into her, knocking her to the ground.

The night air went peculiarly still. Not a single sound broke the silence hanging so thick Ainsley thought she might choke on it. Spots danced before her eyes. She couldn't suck air into her lungs. Panic began to take hold. She knew she'd fallen to the ground, hard, and with assistance. Her landing, however, puzzled her. It was…cushioned?

Memory began flooding back, the arms that grabbed her, the descent. Realizing what had cushioned her fall--a human body--Ainsley's fear grew until it became incapacitating. Recognizing what held her tight--strong and unquestionably male arms--she began the fight for her freedom, and maybe her life, but he pulled her even tighter.

Against every instinct, she lay still in his arms. The dark made it hard to see his features, but she’d long since memorized them. The high forehead, arched brows, the way his grin always seemed slightly lopsided. Resting on him like this was somehow quite intimate, but to her amazement, no wave of panic came. She felt safe. In spite of the fact that he told her someone was after her.

She wiggled one arm free of his grasp and brushed hair from his eyes. The moon provided enough light to see their depths, but she’d known he was staring at her before she had the proof. He seemed to search her soul, but contrary to what her gut told her she should be feeling, she welcomed it. She wanted him to see her for who she really was, all of her, even the parts she’d never shown anyone else. She wanted Baye to see everything.

“You all right?” He asked. His smile seemed full of relief. The concern she originally saw etched into his brow and the creases around his eyes were gone. His lightened mood allowed her to do the same. She let out a small laugh. “Yeah. How about you?”

He hesitated. “I think I landed on a bottle.”
“Oh, God!”

Ainsley tried to move, but he pulled her back down on him, grimacing with the pain as the movement ground more glass into his back. “Not until we hear from Travis.”

That made no sense, and he must have known it, so why on earth would he want to stay on the ground with glass in his back, holding onto her... Oh. A knowing smile floated across her face, and a surge of feminine power left her emboldened. “If I promise to let you hold me later…” She actually had the nerve to bat her lashes at him. “…will you let me up so I can look at your back now?”

Quick Update

The writing has been a little hit or miss this week, more life drama, but it should be over come Tuesday. I HOPE. Court is the last hurdle for the foreseeable future, but on the upside, I've written about another five thousand words on my quest for 300,000 words in 60 days, despite all the craziness, and that's the real goal anyway, just to keep going. I'll update the counter at Coffee Time next time I open the wip for anyone interested ...oh! and it looks like I've bought a home!

I'll know for sure tomorrow.

I'm in New York City today, on Broadway right near Time's Square. I've decided the city is much more enjoyable on a Sunday than a weekday. lol

...in theory, that I reach the halfway point of Book One of this series. I'm SO excited, despite being 1k behind schedule and procrastinating something fierce this morning, I still hope to hit 30k before I crash tonight!

Here's your first peak into the world I'm creating. ;)

My hero is Finn Lockhart, GM of a world famous amusement Park and die hard bachelor.

Not for the reasons most men are bachelors, for him it's more because he feels he's already done the dad thing when he raised his two younger sisters. He doesn't feel the need to do it again and he's adamant about this.

Brooke Bentley had planned the dream vacation of a lifetime with her best friend, not expecting he'd get called away one day into the trip. (Anyone familiar with my personal life...sound familiar? lol)

Luckily for Brooke, she meets a handsome prince who shows her the keys to his kingdom and so much more!

300,000 words in 60 days

I have a six book series I want to write before I go back home and this is my last chance. So I'm buckling down, 5k a day, which under normal circumstances, really isn't that much of a stretch. So I know I can do this, it's just a matter of discipline at this point. :P

I have a new release out next month Legacy of Fear, arrives January 30th at Cobblestone Press, so I will be posting more about that in the coming days, but otherwise, I'm going sort of quiet. Sunday Rambles vol 26

I have discovered something...I LOVE the sound snow makes when it crunches under my feet. :D

I'm in Albany New York this weekend and it's snowing lightly, just enough to make everything white and romantic and beautiful. I love the way the snow makes everything so quiet. I love the way everything looks new and perfect, I'm even making peace with the cold. lol

I want to mention first thing this morning that my book Love, Lust and Deception, is up for book of the week at Whipped Cream Reviews and I'd so appreciate anyone who could take the time to vote for me. I'm up against some really wonderful books and the competition is tough!

I also want to thank my readers in general. I've been really wrapped up in life lately, to the point of almost not being a writer anymore, but that seems to be changing now and I was thinking about it last night. What an amazing, humbling thing to have someone else be willing to spend their very hard earned money on something I created. That's not a small thing to me and I want to thank everyone who's ever read one of my books. I hope to always write stories that tug on the heart strings, excite and engage the reader and I appreciate you giving me that chance.

To further thank you, this Christmas, I will be giving away as a free download on my site, Nick's story from Anything After Sunday and Anything for Sasha. I know many of you have asked for this story and I hope this final installment, Anything She Wants, will be all you've wanted. Look for it closer to Christmas. :)

Also, in the coming year, look forward to a lot more from me. I'm back at writing with a vengeance and hope to put out a lot of good stories in 2009, from my current publishers, possibly two new ones, and I'm going to try out something to see how you like it, weekly installments of an ongoing story free for download from my site. It's all in the works for the coming year and I hope you enjoy.

The holiday season is in full swing now and I'm feeling very lucky to be traveling. I feel more a part of things being out in the world this way, plus I get to see the snow and the lights and decorations, it's fabulous!
