    What a beautiful tribute!
Please take a moment and watch this. It will touch your heart and change you, even if just for a moment. http://www.militarytimes.com/hancock

    The Bachelorette

Ok, so I have ONE show I'm interested in right now. ONE! and what happened last night during the 2 hour episode??????

The phone rang three times (it NEVER rings) I got in a fight with my ex, a fight with my oldest, and the cat collection went nuts and was running around all over the place!!!

    Sheesh!

So anyway, I'm hoping to actually catch the episode on line. I haven't watched the final two Mooonlight episodes either, although that was just coz it was too depressing. :p

Anyway, so last night, all I really know is Jason didn't get the boot, but thank God Ryan did!

More later maybe after I've seen it. lol

    The one flaw in women!
By the time the Lord made woman,
He was into his sixth day of working overtime.
    An angel appeared and said,
'Why are you spending so much time on this one?'
And the Lord answered, 'Have you seen my spec sheet on her?
She has to be completely washable, but not plastic,
have over 200 movable parts, all replaceable
and able to run on diet coke and leftovers,
have a lap that can hold four children at one time,
have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart
    -and she will do everything
    with only two hands.'

The angel was astounded at the requirements.
    'Only two hands!? No way!
And that's just on the standard model?
That's too much work for one day.
    Wait until tomorrow to finish.'

    'But I won't, ' the Lord protested .
'I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart.
She already heals herself when she is sick
AND can work 18 hour days.'

The angel moved closer and touched the woman.
'But you have made her so soft, Lord.'

'She is soft,' the Lord agreed,
'but I have also made her tough.
You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish.'

'Will she be able to think?', asked the angel.

    The Lord replied,
'Not only will she be able to think,
she will be able to reason and negotiate.'

    The angel then noticed something,
and reaching out, touched the woman's cheek.
'Oops, it looks like you have a leak in this model.
I told you that you were trying to put too much into this one.'

    'That's not a leak,'
    the Lord corrected,
    'that's a tear!'
'What's the tear for?' the angel asked.

The Lord said, 'The tear is her way of expressing her joy,
her sorrow, her pain, her disappoi ntm ent, her love,
her loneliness, her grief and her pride.'
    The angel was impressed.
    'You are a genius, Lord.
    You thought of everything!
    Woman is truly amazing.'

    And she is!
Women have strengths that amaze men.
They bear hardships and they carry burdens,
    but they hold happiness,
    love and joy.
They smile when they want to scream.
They sing when they want to cry.
They cry when they are happy
and laugh when they are nervous.
They fight for what they believe in.
    They stand up to injustice.
They don't take 'no' for an answer
when they believe there is a better solution.
They go without so their family can have.
They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.
    They love unconditionally.
They cry when their children excel
and cheer when their friends get awards.
They are happy when they hear about
    a birth or a wedding.
Their hearts break when a friend dies.
They grieve at the loss of a family member,
yet they are stro n g when they think there is no strength left.
They know that a hug and a kiss
    can heal a broken heart.
Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.
They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you
to show how much they care about you.
The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning
They bring joy, hope and love.
    They have compassion and ideals.
They give moral support to their family and friends.
Women have vital things to say and everything to give

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE TINY FLAW IN WOMEN,

IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

The Bachelorette ~ the morning after
Most anyone who reads my blog, knows I'm a sucker for most reality dating shows. So last night the bachelorette premiered it's new season with Deana Pappas the rejected woman from the season where Brad Womack didn't pick anyone.
    Photobucket

Anyway, so of course everyone is rooting for poor Deanna after she had her heart so well and truly broken on national television. If you missed it, click here for a taste.

So for what it's worth, here's my wrap up on last night's events. On a side note, take a look at these pictures. Does Deanna have a "type" or am I just imagining that more then half these guys could be brothers? Plus, they are of the tall dark and handsome variety, and Mr. Womack was tall and blonde...wonder which came first. Did she fall for Brad despite, he wasn't her usual type of guy, looks wise, or is she just staying waaaaay clear of any guy who even slightly resembles him?

This first group are the guys I personally like and/or I think she seemed to especially like

Photobucket This is Jason, for what it's worth, from knowing nothing more about him then he's a single father, he's my top pick. ;-) He seemed sweet and sincere and family is the most important thing to Deanna, so hopefully she'll respect him for being such a good dad, and OMG is his kid cute!

    Photobucket
Graham also seemed sweet and sincere, and she seemed to have an instant attraction to him.

    Photobucket
Ron...not sure. In the quick clips we got of the bachelors in their home life, I thought NO, but then as the night went on, he grew on me. He seemed sensible and believe me, that's really saying something. More on that later.

    Photobucket
Sean, not sure I like him or not to be honest, but in previews of the season, he seemed to be sticking around a while.

    Photobucket
Erik is our Greek alpha male right out of one of those Harlequin Presents novels! Deanna is Greek too, which obviously gives him a free pass for a while, but we'll see.

This next group of guys really weren't memorable, I'd call them average from what I saw last night. Nothing really stood out for me, hopefully they made a better impression on Deanna.

    Photobucket
    Brian

    Photobucket
    Chris

    Photobucket
    Jeremy

    Photobucket
    Richard

This group of guys we'll call sweet and dorky.

    Photobucket
Paul, who jumped into the pool fully clothed, then stripped and had DeAnna's name embroidered on the back of his spedo.

    Photobucket
    Fred, I barely remember him.

These guys lost sweet but managed to retain dorky. :)

    Photobucket
Jesse wore a really cool jacket that everyone else was ragging on, but come on, he's a snowboarder. No offense, but he didn't seem marriage ready.

    Photobucket
    Twilley...hmmmm just odd

    Photobucket
Ryan, this guy scared me a little.

    Photobucket
Robert, he is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too full of himself. :p

Okay, and now for some honorable mentions...

    First, Luke and Patrick.

Luke is an oyster farmer, and he brought DeAnna a pearl necklace made from one of the pearls he found. He seemed really awkward with women, which is probably why she got rid of him, but I think he seemed incredibly kind and endearing. I hope he finds a good woman who can bring him out of his shell...and no that's not a pun!

Patrick, I think just seemed really young. Give him a few years and he'll be a real catch. ;-)

Okay, now for I think it was Jon. DeAnna's very good friend and fellow Bachelor alum, Jenny was there talking with the guys trying to get a feel for who was good and who wasn't. OMG Jon asked her to come sit on his lap while she asked her questions! Men. sheesh

    Then there's Greg.

Greg talked about himself in third person and then when he was sent home, he tore his clothing off to show off his tattoos and howled at the moon.

OMG do they screen these people or what??!!

Well good luck to everyone, especially DeAnna. I realize the whole thing is over already, but I do hope she has found someone real to give her heart to this time. And I hope we're all entertained along the way. ;-)

    Horse of inspiration

    Amazing Pony

Meet Molly. She's a gray speckled pony who was abandoned by her owners when Katrina hit southern Louisiana, USA?. She spent weeks on her own before finally being rescued and taken to a farm where abandoned animals were stockpiled. While there, she was attacked by a pit bull terrier, and almost died. Her gnawed right front leg became infected and her vet went to LSU for help. But LSU was overwhelmed, and this pony was a welfare case. You know how that goes.

But after surgeon Rustin Moore met Molly, he changed his mind. He saw how the pony was careful to lie down on different sides so she didn't seem to get sores, and how she allowed people to handle her. She protected her injured leg. She constantly shifted her weight, and didn't overload her good leg. She was a smart pony with a serious survival ethic.

Moore agreed to remove her leg below the knee and a temporary artificial limb was built. Molly walked out of the clinic and her story really begins there.

"This was the right horse and the right owner," Moore insists.
Molly happened to be a one-in-a-million patient. She's tough as nails, but sweet, and she was willing to cope with pain. She made it obvious she understood (that) she was in trouble. The other important factor, according to Moore , is having a truly committed and compliant owner who is dedicated to providing the daily care required over the lifetime of the horse.

Molly's story turns into a parable for life in post-Katrina Louisiana . The little pony gained weight, her mane felt a comb. A human prosthesis designer built her a leg.

The prosthetic has given Molly a whole new life, Allison Barca DVM, Molly's regular vet, reports.
And she asks for it! She will put her little limb out, and come to you and let you know that she wants you to put it on. Sometimes she wants you to take it off too." And sometimes, Molly gets away from Barca. "It can be pretty bad when you can't catch a three-legged horse", she laughs.

Most important of all, Molly has a job now. Kay, the rescue farm owner, started taking Molly to shelters, hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers. Anywhere she thought that people needed hope. Wherever Molly went, she showed people her pluck. She inspired people. And she had a good time doing it.

"It's obvious to me that Molly had a bigger role to play in life", Moore said,?? "She survived the hurricane, she survived a horrible injury, and now she is giving hope to others."
"She's not back to normal," Barca concluded, "but she's going to be better. To me, she could be a symbol for New Orleans itself."

This is Molly's most recent prosthesis. The bottom photo shows the ground surface that she stands on, which has a smiley face embossed in it. Wherever Molly goes, she leaves a smiley hoof print behind!

    Lurker's Contest :-)
I'm getting ready to unveil a very updated web-site. New colors, a bit of a new layout, it's beautiful! Anyway, one of the things we're changing is the newsletter feature. I'm committing to doing a regular monthly newsletter and I'd love to get to know some of my readers.

So with that in mind. I'm offering a free PDF copy of the book of your choice from my available e-books. I'll take entries all this week and draw three names, on Mother's Day.

    Here's what I want in return... ;-)

E-mail me via the interact page here on the site.

Tell me which story of mine is your favorite. Assuming you've read one and if not, which one are you drawn to?

Who were your favorite hero and heroine out of any of my books.

Which story would you most like to see the sequel to.

Also, I'd love to know your top three favorite publishers you buy e-books from.

One last thing, let me know if I can sign you up for the newsletter, and if so, leave me what e-mail address is best.

I'd greatly appreciate the input. I know people are reading the blog, but I'm not very good at writing the types of blogs that generate comments, so I'm just trying to get a feel for who's out there. :) Plus, I just really love getting e-mails from readers.

Keep your eyes tuned for the unveil of the new site and don't forget to check out my latest releases on the catalog page. Here's some places you can find me this month chatting with the fabulous Siren-Bookstrand authors
